How To Get Korean Glowing Skin aka Honey Skin

Anneyoung!

Happy K- Wednesday! I have been noticing that dewy skin is making a comeback, and it's about time! I'm so tired of everyone wanting matte skin, and I'm am ready to teach you how to get the ever so coveted, Korean glowing skin. Korean stars like Park Shin Hye, Hyori, and Sulli are known for their amazingly dewy, fresh looking skin. Today I'm going to teach you how to obtain this kind of appearance with 5 easy steps.

Step 1: Moisturize

So many people forget that they need to have a moisturized face before they apply any product to their skin. The moisture will help the products to adhere and blend into the skin better, for a more natural look. Skipping this step can lead to flaky skin that is definitely not pretty. I like to use the Cetaphil Derma Control Moisturizer, because it helps to give my skin a nourishing feel while keeping the oil at bay.

Step 2: Prime

Priming will set the mood for everything else you will apply. To get a fresh faced look, go with a primer that is orange. It may sound very intimidating, but it will blend out to give your skin a fresh finish. I especially like to use the Pixi Fresh Face Primer, which has tiny shimmers to it, for an even glow and gives off that fresh appearance.

Step 3: Conceal

In general, this is really important in any makeup routine if you have less than perfect skin. Koreans are blessed with the good skin gene, so to get the same look, use a conceal in the under eye area with a orange tinted concealer to give the skin a brightened look. Apply a thicker, more heavy duty concealer on any unsightly blemishes. Be sure to match it as close as possible to your skin color.

Step 4: BB or CC

For this step, you can either use a light BB cream or CC cream. Today, I'm using the Etude House Bad Guy BB Cream because it has a really light, natural finish for the skin. Generally I don't where foundation, so I opt for something lighter. A tinted moisturizer would be fine as well to get that soft dewy look. I always apply BB cream with my beauty blender to give an even more natural look.

Step 5: Set

The last step is to set the remaining skin with a pressed powder. This will maintain it for a much longer time. Even if your not much of a powder person, spot powder. Basically what I mean by that is take your powder puff and press the powder only where you concealed on blemishes. That is generally what I do to avoid a cakey look. I really like the Etude House Shini Star Clear Powder Pact in Peach. The color peach totally is a skin brightener, so never shy away from it, when you want to steal Sulli's natural glow. The clear pact also has a really nice subtle shimmer to it as well.

That's it! Now you know how to capture that natural looking aura that everyone in the K-Pop world is known for. If you have any request for a makeup look, leave it in the comment section, and don't forget to 1+ this post. Oh! I almost forgot, I will be doing a Park Shin Hye Tutorial soon, probably next Thursday (; Until then, Choi!
