Kara 'Mamma Mia' Gyrui Makeup Tutorial

Hey Everyone!
I have another tutorial where my Korean friend Hyeyeun agreed to be the model. This time, I'm doing a look based off of what Gyuri's makeup is in their newest music video, Mamma Mia. The look features bronzed eyes and a bright pink lip, which are actually really complementary. You'd think that it wouldn't but it really works well together. This look also features really pretty smudgy eyeliner, so it was really fun to do. Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy this, and sadly for now, this is the last post with Hyeyeun, because she left this morning on a flight back to S. Korea :( Shall we begin?

Face~

1. Prime
I started off by applying a tone correcting primer all over Hyeyeun's face to get rid of any dullness. I love the Pixi Fresh Face Healthy Skin Tone Booster because it's very lightweight and really helps to brighten the look of skin. It starts off orange and it blends into your skin without an oompa-loompa tint.

2. Base
For foundation, I used the Innisfree Smart Foundation in Water Balancing to her face. I blended it into her skin with a foundation brush and then went over it with my fingers make sure that it was blended in properly. I actually got Hyeyeun really addicted to this product , because it leaves your skin with a really nice finish and feel to it.

3. Set
To keep the base products in place all day, I set all of it with the Rimmel Stay Matte powder really lightly, because I didn't want this look to be cakey at all.

4. Blush
Lastly for the face, I applied the Cargo blush in Beach onto the apples of the cheeks, and blending it out to her hairline and onto her temples to give a sunkissed look to the skin.

Eyes~

5. Brows
First things first (I'm the realest ... lol) eyebrows. I went in with the Skinfood Black Bean Eyebrow Pencil on the sparse areas, then combed it out with the spoolie that they give on the other side.

6. Prime

Then, I apply the Too Faced Shadow Insurance over the lid to make sure that it stays place all day. This is probably my favorite primer, hands down.

7. Base
I'm using the Stila eyeshadow in Golden Gate  all over her lid with a fluffy brush and also spreading it down to the lower lashline.

8. Highlight
To highlight the inner corners, I decided to use Stila's Trolley for this since it keeps the same sunkissed glow.

9. Line
I went in with the L'Oreal Infallible Lacquer Liner because it looks really nice and smudges super well on the lids. Create a thin line and wing it out slightly. Don't make it you up, just extend the eye line a bit.

10. Lash
Since Hyeyeun has really straight lashes, I curled them and applied two really good coats of the L'Oreal Voluminous Miss Manga mascara. I gave them a bit more curl with the curler once I applied the mascara, so her eyes wouldn't look heavy.

Lips~

11. Stick
Lastly for this look, I'm using ( as always), the NYX Black Label Lipstick in Hot Pink all over the lid, but I used a lip brush to get the best control.

~Finished Look~

I hope that you all enjoyed this tutorial! I had a lot of fun doing it  and if you have any requests for the next look, leave it in the comments. Soon I'll have something other than a tutorial, but I'm trying to catch up with all my girl groups so.... until then, That's what I got for ya. I love you guys soo much and I'll see you next time! Muah!

Ladies Codes 'Kiss Kiss' RiSe Makeup Tutorial

Hey Everyone!
So, I'm still pretty new to Ladies Code, and have only done one other tutorial for them. Anyway, I loved the music video so much. I didn't think that I would as much as I did, but unlike most girl groups out there right now, it has a storyline, which is great. Their previous music video had a really cool concept as well. 'Kiss Kiss' is about this guy who is basically your male sleeping beauty and the girls are trying to wake him up with true loves kiss. Honestly, you should just watch the video because it's fantastic. Anyway, I loved RiSe's makeup in this video because I think that it could be very wearable. Without further delay, let's begin!

Face~

1. Prime

First off, I'm priming my skin with a pore primer to make a smoother base for the rest of my face makeup. I decided to use Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser and patted it into my skin to fill the pores and lines. Oh and just ignore that monstrous zit that is on my chin at the moment.

2. Highlight

To give my face a natural glow, I'm applying a liquid highlighter to the high points of my face. I'm using the Face Shop High Lighter Beam and blending everything in with my fingers to make it melt into my skin better.

3. Base

I wanted to use a product that had good coverage and that could also brighten the look of my skin, so I pulled out the Etude House Any Cushion and applied that all over my skin with the ruby cell puff given. On areas that I need more coverage, I took a brush and applied it over without blending it out.

4. Set

Now I'm blending everything in with a setting powder. I'm using a really light hand over where I applied the foundation to my spots to give a really good coverage. I used the Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder with a fluffy powder brush.

5. Blush

For the blush, I'm being a bit more heavy handed. I applied the Innisfree Eco Mineral Blush in Romantic Pink on the apples of my cheeks with the fluffy brush from the previous step. To add even more color, you can tap the blush directly from the pot onto your cheeks and then blend out.

Eyes~

6. Brows

As usual, I'm filling in my brows with the Etude House Perfect Brow Kit with an angled brush. I feel like I might not have to include this step anymore, but for all of you new members of my blog, you should know that this is my holy grail brow product. All that you should do for this look is fill in the sparse areas.

7. Lid

The only shadow I'm going to be using for this eye look  is a medium taupe brown color with a firm eyeshadow brush and blending it out really well. I'm using the L'Oreal Cupa Joe Palette and also applying that shade to the eye tail or under eye line too.

8. Line

For the liner, I'm using the Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pen in Dark Cocoa which is a dark brown color. I applied it to my tight line, making it thicker on the outer area, and blending out the outside corners to smudge up this look.

9. Lash

Lastly for the eyes, I'm applying two coats of the Maybelline Lash Stiletto is Blackish Brown to uncurled lashes. This will really give your lashes a natural looking umph. The two coats will help to give them that false lash look.

Lips~

10. Stain

For the lips, I'm starting off with a red base. I used the Clio Virgin Kiss Tinted Lip in Iyuk all over my lips. Be careful to keep the color on your lips and maintaining clean edges.

11. Gloss

To finish it all off, I'm giving the lips a little somethin somethin with a hot pink lip gloss by Addiction NV Cosmetics called Sugar Daddy. Once again, try to keep the lines clean.

~Finished Look~

As always, I hope you guys enjoyed this tutorial, if you did be sure to let me know! Also if you have any more tutorial ideas, leave it for me in the comment section. Some exciting news, we have reached 7,000 views! Thank you for all of your guy's support, you have no idea how much I appreciate you. Let's keep it going, shall we? Anyway, I love this look and I actually think I'll be wearing a slightly lighter version of it around for a bit later into the year :) I love you guys so much! Muah~

Fiestar 'One More' Jei Makeup Tutorial

Hi Everyone!
So, I've been a fan of Fiestar for awhile now, and when I saw that they were coming out with a new music video, I automatically knew that I had to do a tutorial for it. My favorite makeup from this video, was Jei's. It was a simple gold look on the eyes and a bright pink gradient on the lips. For this tutorial my friend who visiting from Korea and staying with us for the month, Hyeyeun, is my model. She is so pretty and she loved the end look. While doing this tutorial, we listened to K-Pop and she relaxed in a chair as I did her face, so if her eyes are closed, that's why. Anyway, let's begin!

Face~

1. First thing first, I applied a pore primer over her face with my fingertips. I tapped the product in where her pores looked a little large. I used the Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser. I like it because it makes your skin feel silky and makes everything else apply really nicely.

2. I applied a liquid highlighter to the high points of Hyeyeun's face to bring her features out more. I blended it all in with my fingers. I used The Face Shop High Lighter Beam, which is easily comparable to the Benefit High Beam. The silvery pink shade looks really nice on all skintones. I recommend applying before your foundation or BB cream to give it a more natural look.

3. For her foundation, I used the Etude House Precious Mineral Cotton Fit BB Cream and mixed in the Nymph Aura Volumer (also by Etude House). This gave her a luminous, glowing look to her skin. But, since the Cotton Fit has a matte finish, it will also have a natural looking effect on her skin. I used my fingers once again. Also once the base was on, I rubbed my hands together and then put them on her face to help the products melt into her skin better.

4. To set everything and give it a overall flawless look, I'm using the Maybelline Fit Me! Pressed Powder in 110. I dusted it lightly across the base products to give it a long lasting finish. I like this powder because it doesn't steal the look of the base products underneath it.

Eyes~

5. Starting on the eyebrows, I'm going to be filling in any sparse areas with the Skinfood Black Bean Eyebrow Pencil and combing it out with the spoolie given on the otherside. Be sure to go along with the natural direction of the brows. I didn't want to try to reshape her brows, because she has a nice straight brow, which is a trend in Korea.

6. To prime her eyes, I used the Skinfood Seaweed Mineral Waterproof Eyeshadow Stick in Mineral Beige, stopping below her brow bone. I patted the product into her eye with my ring finger, making sure not to pull as to avoid creating wrinkles.

7. For my base color, I used Half Baked on her eyelid and dragged it down onto her aegyo-sal as well. I applied it with a fluffy brush, and then once more with a more flat brush.

8. This part is a little difficult to explain, but basically, I applied the Maybelline Color Tattoo in Caramel-Cool onto the outer portions of he eye, and went over that with the Innisfree Eco Mineral Eye Shadow in 26 with an angled brush and dragged it from the upper lash line, to the eye tail, to the aegyo-sal.

9. Next, I'm tightlining and dragging it slightly onto the eye tail and smudging it out. Don't Be shy about the tightlining for this look. It should be bolder than normal. I used the NYX Eyeliner in Jet Black.

10. Lastly for the eyes, curl the lashes and apply 2 even coats of volumizing mascara. Make sure to give the lashes a good pump with the eyelash curler. I used the Nature Republic So Big Curling mascara.

Cheeks & Lips~

11. To give Hyeyeun's face a flushed look, I lightly applied the Innisfree Eco Mineral Blush in Romantic Pink with a fluffy brush. I did this by tapping the product onto the apples of her cheeks and then blend out with the excess.

12. First thing to do for the lips, is to conceal them to get rid of any hyper pigmentation. I used the Aritaum Wannabe Cushion Lip Concealer and blended it out with the sponge given on the opposite side.

13.  I applied the Ellegirl Gloss Tint in Rock Berry on the inner portion of her lips and blended it out. I took the lip concealer and applied it on the edges and finished it off with some petroleum jelly to make it look super glossy.

~ Finished Look ~

That's it for this post! Sorry that I didn't upload on Friday, but I really wasn't feeling very much inspiration. Also this past week my sister Anna and I, started a Korean review blog, where we share recipes, our thoughts on K-Drama's, music video reviews and really anything else that has to do with Korean culture. I'll leave the link in the down bar and be sure to tell me what tutorial you'd like to see next! Love you all soo much!

Hyuna Red Makeup Tutorial

    Hi!!
It seems like forever since I've done a makeup tutorial for Hyuna, but since she came out with a new video, I thought it was the perfect time to do another one. I remember making my first tutorial for Hyuna and not even knowing who she was all that well. Believe me, that has definitely changed. I thought that his video was a little weird, but my sister Anna, told me that it's based off of a kids song about the color red, and one line of it talks about the monkey's butt being red, so it explains the beginning. But enough about the monkey, let's jump into this tutorial!

Face~

1. Prime
Hyuna has perfect skin. I'm not even going to sugar coat it because it's true. To give a flawless glowing look to the skin, prime your face using a glow boosting primer. I'm using the Laura Geller Spackle Tinted Under Makeup Primer in Ethereal and apply that with my finger tips.

2. Highlight
To bring out my facial features better (and amp up the dewy appearance) I'm using a liquid highlighter. The one I'm using is by The Face Shop and is called High Lighter Beam, and is almost identical to Benefit's High Beam. I applied it on my cheek bones and curve it to my brow bone.

3. Base
To perfect my overall complexion, I'm using a cushion type foundation, for lighter application. I chose to use the Etude House Any Cushion Pact because it's a lighter shade and it also gives my face a natural looking finish. I applied this with the ruby cell puff given.

Eyes~

4. Brows
You gotta have strong brow game. No matter what look your doing, it's important to frame your eyes properly. Hyuna has a straight brow (very popular in Korea). To give mine that same shape, I filling in my arch and blending everything out with the comb given. I'm using the Skinfood Black Bean Eye Brow Pencil. You got game?

5. Base
Yes, that is tape on the side of my eye. This helps give me a guideline for this cat shaped eye look. After I taped my eye up, I applied the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Cashmere all over my lid, going a little above my crease and going into my inner corners. I patted the product in to set it with my ring finger.

6. Crease
Last for shadows, I'm applying The Balm's eye shadow in selfish into my crease and 1/4th onto the lower portion of my lid. This color is perfect for this look. I love of Hyuna's eye makeup in this because I never wouldv'e thought to mix gold and gray, but now.... I LOVE it! I used the E.L.F Professional Eye Shadow brush to sweep this shade, lightly at first, and then building the color up on the outer portions.

7. Line
Use a dark brown eye liner on your lower lash line. I'm using the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Dark Brown. The way I applied this was by applying a little to the outer portion and blending in with a firm flat tipped brush that has the liner on it. This will help to give you a smudged look that Hyuna is sporting in this look.

8. Lash
For this look, the lashes really have to make a bold statement. While you can opt for falsies, I'm just using the Nature Republic So Big Curling Mascara to give my lashes an amped up look. For some extra bang for your buck, curl your eyelashes before hand. Also don't forget to get those lower lashes!

Lips~

9. Base
Since we are going to be using a super vibrant and bright shade on the lips, it's important to create a base for the lips, not only to keep them from getting stained, but also to give your lips a perfectly lined look. I'm using the Aritaum Wannabe Cushion Lip Concealer.

10. Stain
This is the perfect color for this look. I was a tinny bit skeptical at first, but decided that if Hyuna's makeup artists put it together, than it must be okay (; This is the Elle Girl You Say Tint I Say Gloss in Rock Berry and to get this look down, you really have to be precise as to where you put the product. Make sure that your lips are nice and clean around the edges.

Finished Look~

I hope that you all enjoyed my take on Hyuna's makeup in her comeback song 'Red'. If you guys enjoyed this, make sure to let me know! Also if you have any requests, leave them in the comments. I plan on doing a Ladies Code Makeup tutorial for Kiss Kiss on one of my Korean Unni's, Hyeyeun for next weeks post.
