Fiestar 'One More' Jei Makeup Tutorial

Hi Everyone!
So, I've been a fan of Fiestar for awhile now, and when I saw that they were coming out with a new music video, I automatically knew that I had to do a tutorial for it. My favorite makeup from this video, was Jei's. It was a simple gold look on the eyes and a bright pink gradient on the lips. For this tutorial my friend who visiting from Korea and staying with us for the month, Hyeyeun, is my model. She is so pretty and she loved the end look. While doing this tutorial, we listened to K-Pop and she relaxed in a chair as I did her face, so if her eyes are closed, that's why. Anyway, let's begin!

Face~

1. First thing first, I applied a pore primer over her face with my fingertips. I tapped the product in where her pores looked a little large. I used the Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser. I like it because it makes your skin feel silky and makes everything else apply really nicely.

2. I applied a liquid highlighter to the high points of Hyeyeun's face to bring her features out more. I blended it all in with my fingers. I used The Face Shop High Lighter Beam, which is easily comparable to the Benefit High Beam. The silvery pink shade looks really nice on all skintones. I recommend applying before your foundation or BB cream to give it a more natural look.

3. For her foundation, I used the Etude House Precious Mineral Cotton Fit BB Cream and mixed in the Nymph Aura Volumer (also by Etude House). This gave her a luminous, glowing look to her skin. But, since the Cotton Fit has a matte finish, it will also have a natural looking effect on her skin. I used my fingers once again. Also once the base was on, I rubbed my hands together and then put them on her face to help the products melt into her skin better.

4. To set everything and give it a overall flawless look, I'm using the Maybelline Fit Me! Pressed Powder in 110. I dusted it lightly across the base products to give it a long lasting finish. I like this powder because it doesn't steal the look of the base products underneath it.

Eyes~

5. Starting on the eyebrows, I'm going to be filling in any sparse areas with the Skinfood Black Bean Eyebrow Pencil and combing it out with the spoolie given on the otherside. Be sure to go along with the natural direction of the brows. I didn't want to try to reshape her brows, because she has a nice straight brow, which is a trend in Korea.

6. To prime her eyes, I used the Skinfood Seaweed Mineral Waterproof Eyeshadow Stick in Mineral Beige, stopping below her brow bone. I patted the product into her eye with my ring finger, making sure not to pull as to avoid creating wrinkles.

7. For my base color, I used Half Baked on her eyelid and dragged it down onto her aegyo-sal as well. I applied it with a fluffy brush, and then once more with a more flat brush.

8. This part is a little difficult to explain, but basically, I applied the Maybelline Color Tattoo in Caramel-Cool onto the outer portions of he eye, and went over that with the Innisfree Eco Mineral Eye Shadow in 26 with an angled brush and dragged it from the upper lash line, to the eye tail, to the aegyo-sal.

9. Next, I'm tightlining and dragging it slightly onto the eye tail and smudging it out. Don't Be shy about the tightlining for this look. It should be bolder than normal. I used the NYX Eyeliner in Jet Black.

10. Lastly for the eyes, curl the lashes and apply 2 even coats of volumizing mascara. Make sure to give the lashes a good pump with the eyelash curler. I used the Nature Republic So Big Curling mascara.

Cheeks & Lips~

11. To give Hyeyeun's face a flushed look, I lightly applied the Innisfree Eco Mineral Blush in Romantic Pink with a fluffy brush. I did this by tapping the product onto the apples of her cheeks and then blend out with the excess.

12. First thing to do for the lips, is to conceal them to get rid of any hyper pigmentation. I used the Aritaum Wannabe Cushion Lip Concealer and blended it out with the sponge given on the opposite side.

13.  I applied the Ellegirl Gloss Tint in Rock Berry on the inner portion of her lips and blended it out. I took the lip concealer and applied it on the edges and finished it off with some petroleum jelly to make it look super glossy.

~ Finished Look ~

That's it for this post! Sorry that I didn't upload on Friday, but I really wasn't feeling very much inspiration. Also this past week my sister Anna and I, started a Korean review blog, where we share recipes, our thoughts on K-Drama's, music video reviews and really anything else that has to do with Korean culture. I'll leave the link in the down bar and be sure to tell me what tutorial you'd like to see next! Love you all soo much!

Hyuna Red Makeup Tutorial

    Hi!!
It seems like forever since I've done a makeup tutorial for Hyuna, but since she came out with a new video, I thought it was the perfect time to do another one. I remember making my first tutorial for Hyuna and not even knowing who she was all that well. Believe me, that has definitely changed. I thought that his video was a little weird, but my sister Anna, told me that it's based off of a kids song about the color red, and one line of it talks about the monkey's butt being red, so it explains the beginning. But enough about the monkey, let's jump into this tutorial!

Face~

1. Prime
Hyuna has perfect skin. I'm not even going to sugar coat it because it's true. To give a flawless glowing look to the skin, prime your face using a glow boosting primer. I'm using the Laura Geller Spackle Tinted Under Makeup Primer in Ethereal and apply that with my finger tips.

2. Highlight
To bring out my facial features better (and amp up the dewy appearance) I'm using a liquid highlighter. The one I'm using is by The Face Shop and is called High Lighter Beam, and is almost identical to Benefit's High Beam. I applied it on my cheek bones and curve it to my brow bone.

3. Base
To perfect my overall complexion, I'm using a cushion type foundation, for lighter application. I chose to use the Etude House Any Cushion Pact because it's a lighter shade and it also gives my face a natural looking finish. I applied this with the ruby cell puff given.

Eyes~

4. Brows
You gotta have strong brow game. No matter what look your doing, it's important to frame your eyes properly. Hyuna has a straight brow (very popular in Korea). To give mine that same shape, I filling in my arch and blending everything out with the comb given. I'm using the Skinfood Black Bean Eye Brow Pencil. You got game?

5. Base
Yes, that is tape on the side of my eye. This helps give me a guideline for this cat shaped eye look. After I taped my eye up, I applied the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Cashmere all over my lid, going a little above my crease and going into my inner corners. I patted the product in to set it with my ring finger.

6. Crease
Last for shadows, I'm applying The Balm's eye shadow in selfish into my crease and 1/4th onto the lower portion of my lid. This color is perfect for this look. I love of Hyuna's eye makeup in this because I never wouldv'e thought to mix gold and gray, but now.... I LOVE it! I used the E.L.F Professional Eye Shadow brush to sweep this shade, lightly at first, and then building the color up on the outer portions.

7. Line
Use a dark brown eye liner on your lower lash line. I'm using the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Dark Brown. The way I applied this was by applying a little to the outer portion and blending in with a firm flat tipped brush that has the liner on it. This will help to give you a smudged look that Hyuna is sporting in this look.

8. Lash
For this look, the lashes really have to make a bold statement. While you can opt for falsies, I'm just using the Nature Republic So Big Curling Mascara to give my lashes an amped up look. For some extra bang for your buck, curl your eyelashes before hand. Also don't forget to get those lower lashes!

Lips~

9. Base
Since we are going to be using a super vibrant and bright shade on the lips, it's important to create a base for the lips, not only to keep them from getting stained, but also to give your lips a perfectly lined look. I'm using the Aritaum Wannabe Cushion Lip Concealer.

10. Stain
This is the perfect color for this look. I was a tinny bit skeptical at first, but decided that if Hyuna's makeup artists put it together, than it must be okay (; This is the Elle Girl You Say Tint I Say Gloss in Rock Berry and to get this look down, you really have to be precise as to where you put the product. Make sure that your lips are nice and clean around the edges.

Finished Look~

I hope that you all enjoyed my take on Hyuna's makeup in her comeback song 'Red'. If you guys enjoyed this, make sure to let me know! Also if you have any requests, leave them in the comments. F(x) Victoria Red Light Makeup Tutorial

안녕 모두!
Today's makeup is a tutorial for Victoria of F(x). Their makeup throughout this video was bold and sexy, perfect for this song. I had so much fun doing this look, and I hope that you all enjoy it! Also, at the end of this post, there is a special code that you can use to get 5% off  your purchases with W2Beauty (one of my favorite Korean cosmetics distributors). I'll tell you more about that later, but for now, let's start this tutorial!

Face~

1. Prime
Victoria's skin is flawless like a porcelain doll's, so to give me that same pore less appearance, I'm applying Maybelline's Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser on my t-zone. Use tapping motions to fill the pores better and swipe the remaining product along your cheeks, forehead and chin.

2. Base
I have pretty dark skin right now, so to give it a lighter appearance, I'm using the Etude House Cotton Fit BB Cream  on my face. I choose this one because it helps to brighten the look of your skin. Dot on your face and blend out with clean finger tips. Tap to finish.

3. Conceal
I have some spots on my face currently, so to give my skin a more even look, I'm mixing the BB cream in with the Lioele Perfect Jumbo Concealer, and applying that to any spots and my dark circles. Use your fingertips to put wherever is necessary. The reason you should use you fingertips is because it will give the skin a more natural look.

Eyes~

4. Brows
Brow's are so important to this look. Victoria has nice full straight brows, so I'm going to use the Etude House Perfect Brow Kit with an angled brush and filling in the sparse areas. Keep a light hand when doing eyebrows and go with the natural direction of the hairs.

5. Prime
I have oily eyelids so primer is a must. Here I'm using the Etude House Proof 10 Eye Primer and apply it with the wand applicator given. The texture of this product is very similar to the Urban Decay Primer Potion. Be sure to blend it in with your ring finger to make it smooth.

6. Base
To give the eyeliner we are about to apply something to stick onto, I'm using the Innisfree Eco Mineral Eye Shadow in #26, which is a medium/darker brown shade with fine gold shimmer in it. Apply this with a fluffy brush to give it a stained on appearance.

7. Wing
Create a thick wing on your upper lash line with some gel eyeliner. Here I'm using the L'Oreal Infallible Lacquer Liner, and applying that with the handy fine point brush that it comes with. I recommend taking some translucent powder and setting the liner with it, to keep it from smudging.

8. Line
I know what your thinking: "But didn't we just line?" Well, yes we did. However to give this look more umph, I'm tight lining my upper lash line as well as popping this one my lower lash line. Try to keep the liner neat, and only smudge it at the end with a cotton bud.

9. Lashes
Lastly for the eyes, curl your lashes and apply a good coat of your favorite mascara to your top and bottom lashes. I love using the Etude House Lash Perm All Shockcara. It gives length and volume to every single lash. Plus it's waterproof to boot. Try using a wiggling motion from the root to the tip, for best application.

Lips and Cheeks~

10. Blusher
I'm using the Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Certainly Red for my blush, by making 3 strokes onto my cheeks and blending out with a thick, firm brush. To tone done the color, you can take a powder that matches your skin tone over top of it.

11. Bronze
Now contour you face with a bronzer. This will help to give your face a slimmer appearance. Victoria has a very nice defined face in this look, so it's okay to be a little heavy handed when applying the product this time. I'm using the Physicians Formula Bronze Booster, because it doesn't give my face a muddy look.

12. Stain

Victoria's lips in this have a vampy look to them. So to give a bitten look, apply a lip stain all over the lips stroking downwards to give it a streaky look. Here I'm using the Revlon Just Bitten Balm+ Stain in Victorian, which is the perfect shade for this lip look.

13.
Lastly, to give the lips more depth, I'm mixing a red and nude-ish brown together and apply it to the inner portions of my lips and blending it into the stain. I mixed Certainly Red and a L'Oreal lipstick called Eva's Nude. I  applied this with my fingers.

Natural Job Interview Makeup

Hi All!
My sister, Anna, just had her very first job interview, and she allowed me to do her makeup for it. I wanted to make it nice and peachy for the summer time, while not clashing with her gorgeous red hair. Anna's really not a heavy makeup kind of person, for her the natural-er a look is, the better. Keeping that in mind, I created natural looking makeup that really brought out her best features on her face.

Face~
1. Prime
Anna has very sensitive skin, so I used a gentle, colorless, oil-free primer on her skin to smooth out any uneven/dry patches on her skin. I love the Mark Primed for Perfection, because it has really nice, skin perfecting ingredients as well as moisturizes the skin well.

2. Conceal
Since Anna has dark circles from watching K-Dramas all night long, I used a peach/salmon toned concealer to brighten and conceal the purple shade of her under eyes. I'm using the Garnier Skin Renew Anti-Dark Circle Concealer, because it has brightening serums in it, which is a must for discolored areas.

3. Base
Anna has a much lighter and cooler skin tone then I do, so I decided to use a cc cream, because it matches your skin tone perfectly every time. I used my fingers to blend it into her skin to give it an uber natural look, plus I didn't want to cover her adorable freckles. Tonymoly Pure Aura Luminous Pure Aura CC Cream is perfect for paler skin tones, because it whitens the look of skin.

4. Set
To insure that her skin wouldn't get oily or sweaty, since its summer, I set her base makeup with some of the Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in translucent light. I like this powder because it contains some pampering ingredients.

5. Blush
To bring in some warmth to the skin, I applied the NYX Blush in Pinched on her cheeks with a fluffy powder brush. Pinched has a really nice golden shimmer to it, which is perfect for giving Anna's face a touch of a sun kissed glow.

Eyes~

1. Prime
Although Anna has dry skin, her eyelids tend to get oily and crease throughout the day, so I'm using my holy grail Too Faced Shadow Insurance Primer. This stuff really helps keep your eye shadows from sliding down your face, which doesn't leave too good of a first impression.

2. Base
I know, I'm super crazy about making  sure that Anna's makeup wouldn't budge, but hey, that's what caring sister do lol. I used the Maybelline Color Tattoo in Beige-ing Beauty as my base, which is a pale cream color with golden flecks in it. Gold is one of those colors that brightens up your skin tone like magic, hence I used gold flecked/based products throughout this tutorial.

3. Crease
Since Anna has paler skin, I used the light brown shade for her crease and the medium brown color from the L'Oreal Cupa Joe Quad (which is the best neutral matte quad I have ever tried) on her upper and lower lash line. For the crease, I used the Elf Professional Eye Shadow Brush, for the liner I used the Ecotools Angled Eye Brush.

4. Tight line
Since heavy eyeliner just looks to heavy for Anna, I tight lined with a waterproof eye pencil. I used NYX's Jet Black on the tight line and smudged it out afterwards to keep it from smearing.

5. Lashes
I used a lengthening brownish black mascara on her upper lashes and left the bottom ones bare, since her eyes water easily. I used the Maybelline Lash Stiletto mascara to give her a natural, yet bolder look to her red eyelashes.

Lips~

1.  Glaze

On her lips, I chose a peachy, natural pink shade that really compliments the gold tones used in this look. I applied it with my fingers to give it a natural, balmy look.

Finished Look~

Isn't she so prutty? I hope this helped you in some way figuring out what kind of makeup is good for a job interview if you like that natural-er style. Props goes to Anna for being my guinea pig for today's tutorial! I wish you all the best of luck on your job interviews! If you have any questions, leave it in the comments section down below, and I'll see you next week for a F(x) makeup tutorial. Love ya! Muah
