4Minute Crazy MV HyunA Inspired Makeup Tutorial ~ 포미닛 '미쳐' 현아 메이크업 자습서

Hi Everyone!
    Today seeing all of the couple and reading all of their status's is driving me a little crazy. And thankfully I'm not the only one going crazy, 4Minute is also in their latest music video. The beat of this song is killer and addictive and besides the bucket hats that they are all wearing with their names on it (did they do that because lots of people only know about HyunA?), this music video was on pointe. The black and white effect was also a nice touch and really added to the glamorous feel of this video. So without any further delay, let's get HyunA's look.

~Face~

1. Prime

    First I'm going in with a pore primer to even out the surface of my skin. Pore primers help to fill in any pores or wrinkle that you have on your skin, giving you a flawless look.

2. Base

    I'm going in with a cushion type of foundation to simply even out and conceal my skin in one step. I chose one that's in a lighter color to mimic HyunA's skin shade.

3. Brighten

    Since I look like a panda most days, I'm going in with a brightening under eye concealer and blending it out with a foundation brush to maintain maximum coverage.

4. Set

     To ensure that all of the foundation stay in place, I'm taking a foundation brush to spread an oil capturing translucent powder over my face. Mainly focusing on area that I get the most oily.

~Eyes~

5. Brows

     I'm taking a dark brown eyebrow pencil to thickly fill in my brows using small feathered strokes.

6. Base

    For the eyes, I'm starting off by applying a cream toned all over my lid up to my brow bone and into my inner corners.

7. Define

    Taking a dark charcoal brown eyeshadow, I'm applying it to the outer corner of my eye and creating a strong v outline, taking care to leave the the center portion clean.

8. Line

     Next I'm tightlining my upper lashline with a black pencil eyeliner. I'm also taking it onto the lash line as well.

9. Smudge & Set

     To create a thick bold wing, I'm smudging out the eyeliner previously applied and setting that with a matte black eyeshadow.

10. Lashes

    After curling my eyelashes, I'm applying a lengthening and volumizing mascara to my eyelashes in thick, even coats to get a false eyelash look.

~Lips~

11+12:

    To create HyunA's dark bold lip, I'm mixing together a bright purple lipstick and a burgundy one. To blend them together, I added some of the black eyeshadow from earlier to amplify the shade.

~Finished Look~

Skinfood Good Afternoon Peach Green Tea BB Cream Review ~ 긋애프터눈 피치그런티 비비 검토

    Today I have a review for you! As the title has probably given away, this is on the Skinfood Good Afternoon Peach Green Tea BB Cream. I have been eyeing this BB cream for 2 years now! This past month I had extra B-day money left over and scooped it up. *sips green tea*

Packaging:
    The product comes in a squeeze tube with a screw on lid, which I really like. I feel like you can use the product fully, and better this way *sips tea*. The tube has a soft matte feel and really cute design incorporating tea and peaches in an aegyo way. The color scheme also gives off a peaches n cream aura.
Claims:

• Peach Green Tea

(oil controlling & mattifying BB cream)
A long-lasting BB cream that helps maintain bright morning skin throughout the day without darkening or smudging.
An oil-controlling and skin mattifying BB Cream that keeps skin fresh and matte with vitamin- enriched peach extract and sebum regulating green tea.

Scent:
 Slight peach scent in a musky base. The scent isn't very strong and is very pleasant for me

My thoughts:
    When you first apply the product, it is slightly orange toned, but it blends in really nicely with my skintone and gives it a brightened look. It has medium coverage and doesn't leave a gray cast on my skin like some BB creams are prone to. It lasts for a pretty long time and only got oily on my nose after 4-6 hours. I'm a student so the more oil control I have, the better *sips tea*. I highly recommend for oily/combination skin because it helps to combat oil and leaves fresh look to the skin. I wouldn't suggest this for drier skin type, since it easily attaches to dry patches. Exfoliating before use could also be helpful. I like to apply immediately following my skincare routine.

Pony X Memebox Shine Easy Glam Palette Review

    Hi Everyone!

    Today I have another review for you! This time, I'm reviewing Memebox's newest collaboration with Pony aka one of my favorite Korean makeup artists. Originally I planned on doing this review last friday, but seeings how I moved that weekend, I figured  you would be okay with getting it a couple days late.

   So I've had this palette for about a month now and had been eyeing it since early on in December. Being an avid Pony fan because of her videos with insitetv, I wanted to get it as soon as possible. My birthday came at the end of December and I scooped it up as soon as I put the B-Day Money into my account. 

     BEST DECISION EVER!!!! Seriously this has become my go to palette in my collection and today I'm going to share with you everything about it that makes it so great.

    This palette comes in a sleek black compact with both Pony and Memebox on the front, just in case you didn't know ;p It has a good weight to it and is easy to fit into any of my makeup bags. It's slightly on the bulky side, but I kind of like that? It doesn't look cheap though, which is good, because I didn't know what to expect. I have to say that the packaging is satisfactory; not too good, not too bad.

    When you pop open the lid, there is a clear sheet covering the shadows to keep the mirror clean and to protect the shadows. I like that the names of each product are on this sheet and is a good reference when doing tutorials :) 

    The shadows themselves are separated into two sections. On one side, there are all the matte/pearl finish shadows which are the most wearable for everyday wear. The other side holds the shimmery and glittery shadow that are perfect for nightlife in Seoul or Hongdae. I like to use a mixture of both sides to create my everyday makeup.

~Color Description~

Easy Base- A creamy white with minimal shimmer

Easy Shadow- The perfect warm brown shade 

Easy Brown- A slightly shimmery medium toned brown 

Easy Charcoal- A no shimmer dark chocolate like brown

Shine Rose Gold-  Light peachy pink with chunky glitters

Shine Gold- Copper pearl finish gold with micro glitter

Glam Espresso- Pearl finish taupe with micro shimmer

Glam Cocoa- Warm pearl finish dark brown with micro shimmer

    All of the shadows are EXTREMELY pigmented. I had never tried any of Memebox's eyeshadows before, but I knew that if it was a collab with Pony, that they'd do a good job. And boy, did they. The shadow apply very smoothly to the lids and have really nice staying power. Although, I would still wear a primer underneath to insure that these pretty colors last all day.

    This palette is perfect for people who are new to makeup and professionals both. It is extremely versatile, and can create flawless daytime looks as well as effortless nighttime looks. D.I.Y Turmeric Face Mask+Scrub for Clear and Glowing Skin

Hi Everyone!
    So, one of my absolute favorite spices is Turmeric. It gives a helpful kick when I'm cooking Indian food and the color adds so much to a dish. But, today, I'm going to share a different recipe; one for your skin. So what makes this spice so amazing?

Benefits of Turmeric:

•    Helps reduce acne with it's antiseptic and antibacterial properties which help to purify the skin and treat acne spots
• Perfect for oily skin because it helps regulate sebum production
• Helps fight signs of aging including fine lines and wrinkles
• Helps moisturize dry cracked skin by exfoliating and removing dead skin cells that have built up on the skin
• Brightens the complexion and helps with whitening

    These are just a few of many benefits that come with Turmeric, and are the ones I want to focus on. With the cold winter season, skin can become dull and flaky. This mask will help to resolve many skin complexes and delivers fast and effective results.
    Okay, now that you have the scoop on this amazing spice, let's start with this recipe:

1. First ingredient is 1/2 Cup of Oatmeal. Oatmeal will help to soothe and moisturize your skin. Also it will help purify the skin, gently cleansing away impurities.
2. Next you will need 1 TBSP (tablespoon) of Turmeric powder.
3. Add both ingredients in a food processor.
4. Blend until ingredients are mixed well together, and the oatmeal is chopped up well.
5. Pour 4 Tablespoons of runny Honey into the mixture.
6. Mix all ingredients together until a paste is formed.

    The best way to apply this mask, is to massage in circular motions into the skin and let it sit for 15-20 minutes. I recommend using a toner afterwards to get rid of the tint that it can leave on skin. Because it is so pigmented, it's best to use this at night time to avoid looking like and oompa loompa at work.

The Yeon Jeju Hallabong Energy Pack Review

Hi Everyone!
    I've been trying out different masks this month and imparticular, these ones my The Yeon. This is my first experience with this company, so I wasn't really sure what to expect, since this came in a Memebox I ordered (click here to view unboxing). Overall though, I can say that I think these are all really amazing masks, and that I highly recommend them. This is a very unique idea, incorporating citrus scents with brightening and revitalizing properties. Without any more blahdy blahdy blah (cue Iggy impersonation), let's take a look at these packs!

1. Live Pack

 
    When first opening up this mask, I saw a gel textured pck with pulpy looking qualities. It smells like lemons or something very similar citrus scent. Applying this is a little odd because there are clumps of the pulpy stuff dispersed throughout. Although once it starts drying, the pulp thing fades. It dries sticky and feels like apply aloe vera that won't sink into your skin fully. You can still talk with this mask on though, so it's not heavy on the skin.
    Even though these are supposed to be a single use kind of thing, I only needed half to cover my entire face generously. This being the case, I taped it shut to preserve it for longer and keep it from drying out.

    The product claims to send Jeju energy deep into the skin, replenishing and cooling dry stimulated face. After using this mask, my skin feels very soothe and clean. There is no heavy moisture feel, so I really recommend this for all my oily and combo skin followers especially. I'm sure that it would moisturize dry and normal skin nicely as well.

    I really like this product and I'll definitely use it again. The only thing that I'm not too crazy about is the texture. I do think however, that it does everything it claims to and is something I'd repurchase again.

2. Peeling Gel

    When I first opened this, I was expecting a gel type formula. This peeling gel has a creamy texture and milky look about it that most products like it, don't have. It smells very citrusy like the other packs in this line. When you apply it, there is a grainy texture that reminds me of baking soda scrubs. This peeling gel gets tacky very quickly, so you can begin the exfoliation process almost immediately. I love peeling gels because they are so much gentler than grainy scrubs.I really like how this mask, attempts to incorporate both. You really can feel the difference of your skin's texture.

   
     This product claims to exfoliate away dead skin cells for a smoother, well nourished complexion. After use, my skin felt much smoother and softer. It had a brightened look and seemed to be more even toned.

    I really like this peeling gel! It does everything it claims and I love the results I had immediately after use.

3. Pore Ghassoul Pack

    As expected, when I opened this, I saw the gray toned product that most clay packs have. It (like all the other products in this line) has a strong citrus scent to it. The thing that surprised me the most was the texture. Usually clay masks are drier in texture, but this one is sooo creamy! It smoothes over skin effortlessly an is so finely made that it almost feels like a moisturizer. I really like this because my skin didn't feel dried out once it was on my skin like most clay masks.

    This product claims to treat enlarged pores and help get rid of excess sebum and dirt clogged up. I really think that this a really good mask. It leaves a clean feeling to the skin without feeling dry, and skin also feels very refreshed and revitalized. It got rid of all my dead skin and flakes on my skin, so I'm a really big fan.

    I love this! It really helped to clean up my skin without a drying feeling, and also helped to give it a glowy look by removing dead skin.


    I love these masks! I highly recommend this set for oily and combination skin types because it really helps to moisturize without making your pores feel heavy, it exfoliates away dead skin, and cleans out the pores. All leaving a fresh feeling to the skin. I think that all skin types could like these though. If you are more sensitive to citrus scents, then I'd stay way from these. But for me, I love the scent and I think it adds to the pampering experience. I've been looking around for some places where you can purchase these and so far, I've found a couple, so I'll leave those links below.

Everyday Korean Ulzzang Makeup Tutorial

    It has been forever it seems since I've done a makeup tutorial! Partly that's because it has been a while and it's mainly because I've been trying to do more tutorials on my YouTube, so all my recent KPOP tutorials have been on there. Any way, I wanted to share with you a really simple gradient makeup look inspired by one of the most popular trends in Korea, which is gradient makeup. This look consists on a neutral matte eye and bolder lip look. Let's get started!

~Face~

1. Moisturize

     Koreans are obsessed with two thing: moisturizing and whitening. This cream by Innisfree does both of those and leaves a smooth finish to the skin with an oil free glow.

2. Prime

    I love green toned primers because they really help to brighten and tone up my skin by cancelling the redness. This helps to reduce the pigmentation of acne, dark spots, and any redness that I might have. I applied this by blending in with my fingers in upwards motions.

3. Under Eye

    While I apply concealer on acne after I apply foundation (or CC Cream in this place), I like to apply under eye concealer before hand since I use an orange toned concealer. I apply that in a triangle shape and patted it in.

4. Base

   After blending in the under eye concealer, I went in with a brightening CC Cream to give my face a lighter look and feel. I dotted the product on my face and blended it out with a precision foundation brush.

5. Conceal

     Anywhere that I have spots, I applied a coat of a thick liquid concealer with a pointed concealer brush to accurately apply onto the spot.

6. Setting

    To set all of my hard work, I went in with a loose mineral powder and applied it with a fluffy brush in circular motion to give my skin an airbrushed finish.

~Eyes~

7. Brows

    Ya'll know the drill. I went in with a brow powder and after combing through my brows used and angled brush to fill in my brows.

8. Prime

     To ensure that my makeup is going to last all throughout the long day, I used a waterproof eye primer to not only prep for the coming shadow and liners, but be able to express their color better.

9. Base

    Taking a warm toned light brown matte eyeshadow, I applied it over the lid up to the crease with an eyeshadow brush.

10. Deepen

     Taking an angled brush, I'm going in with a medium taupe-ish brown and apply that to my upper lash line and down onto my lower lash line. This helps to deepen the look and add depth.

11. Brighten

    To brighten up this look, I'm taking a vanilla toned eyeshadow onto my inner corners and aegyo-sal. This helps to make the eyes look cuter.

12. Tightline

    To make my lashes look fuller and more defined, I'm taking a waterproof black eyeliner and applying it to the roots of my lashes.

13. Line

    Taking a dark brown liner, I applied it thinly to the tops of my upper lashline. This will help to give us puppy dog eyes and has a softer feel than black.

14. Smudge

    To softly define the look of my eyes, I'm taking a darker brown eyeshadow and smudging out the eyeliner previously applied with an angled brush. I also dragged any excess color onto my lower lash line and under eye tail.

15. Aegyo-Sal

    No ulzzang look would be complete without any sparkly eye liner. That being so, I took a white pearl toned glitter liner and applied it to my aegyo-sal.

16. Mascara

    Lastly for the eyes, I curled my eyelashes and applied a lengthening mascara for root to tip using a zig-zag motion.

~Cheeks & Lips~

17. Blush

    Taking a cooler toned light pink, I took a fluffy brush and applied the blush to the apples of my cheeks and blended it outwards.

18. Stain

     To create a gradient lip, I applied a bright hot pink to the centers of my lips and tapped it in with my finger to finish.

19. Conceal

    To enhance the color gradation, I went around the outer portions of my lips with a concealer and blended it upwards with my finger.

20. Gloss

    To tie the colors previously together and make the gradation smoother, I applied a light pink gloss over my lips with my finger tip.

~Finished Look~
