D.I.Y Sleeping Pack/ Mask 래핑하 졸려 시간 마스크!!

Hello!!!!
I decided that Wednesday will be a D.I.Y day and a couple nights ago I created a Sleeping Pack. If you don't know what a Sleeping Pack is, it is a product you wear to bed that can help to moisturize, tighten your pores, etc. Any way these are uber popular in Korea right now and I wanted to make one myself. So here is my pore tightening, softening Sleeping Pack.

Tools:
A Mixing Cup

Mixing Tool
Ingredients:
Aloe Vera Gel

Two Different Face Mask 1 Clay and 1 Peel off

This one is optional but for pimple prevention or quick healing, Use an Acne Medication

Directions:

Step 1:
The majority of this product is Aloe Vera Gel and you want to put  a lot of it in the bottom. I didn't use any measuring tools with this, but if i had to guesstimate, I would say its about 1/4 a cup.

Step 2:
Take the peeling mask and pour in about 1 tablespoon of it. This one I'm using has cucumber in it to give this pack a soothing property.

Step 3:
Mix in some of the clay mask, about 1 tablespoon. I'm using an Avocado and Oatmeal mask to really smooth and soften the skin while clearing out your pores to give your skin a healthy glow.

Step 4: (optional)
If you want to, you can now add the acne medication. pour in about 1/2 a Teaspoon. This is only necessary if you have breakouts that you want to clear up over night.

Step 5:
Once you mix up the concoction, it should look like the picture on the right. It has a gel- like texture and is very hydrating while it cleans out your pores and helps to clear your skin.
When you apply this to your skin, It will look like the picture on the left. So you can wear it to bed and there won't be any icky stuff on your pillow in the morning.

Well that's it! I love this because it makes my skin look gorgeous, and I hope that you try it out, and love it. Until Friday,

Grace (:

First Impression / Review: Herbal Essences Smooth Collection Rose Hips

Heyo!

My Opinion:
I ran out of shampoo. The shampoo brand that I normally use is sadly too expensive for this broke student, and my parents only gave me ten dollars. Not only did I get my new shampoo, but i aslo got conditioner AND and Izze drink. Anyway, the shampoo and conditioner i picked out is the Herbal Essences Smooth Collection Rose Hips, which is the smooth one. First of all I love roses and how they smell, so having my hair smell like roses totally makes this great even without using it. At first when you smell it, your like eh..... but when you begin to lather your hair with this amazing shampoo, you begin to smell this rose flower garden scent and your like "ERMAHGERD!!!! It's like I died and went to Rose Heaven!" Yeah, it smells that good.
Alright now that my hair has undergone Rose Heaven in the shower (kekeke), it feels so soft!!!! Its like touching the down on a baby bird, not kidding :) If you are looking for a great shampoo that also happens to be inexpensive and silicone free, totally check it out!

 Main Ingredients:

Rose Hips
Jojoba Oil
Vitamin E

I really hope that you check it out and love it as much as I do!! Til next time, save me some Ramen!

April Favorites 2013

Hi ya!

April was a blur of different activities for me. I've had rehearsals for my schools spring concert, the concert, then I went to a music competition (my school did really good!), Spring Formal which is an annual dance that the our high school get to go to, and play practice every single day until the 9th of May!!! So yeah, I've been pretty busy, but I've tried to maintain a steady upload to this blog. May is going to be nice and slow though, thank God. So without further ado, here are my beauty favorites for April!

FACE:
     1. Alright so this product is somewhat a skincare kind of product, but i like to use it as a primer because it makes my skin look really pretty and bright. It's the It's Skin 10 Propolis Extract and omg, makes your skin glow while it locks in moisture and protecting your skin from the sun. Here's a link if you want to purchase this product, cause honestly, it's worth every penny:
http://www.amazon.com/Its-skin-Power-Formula-Propolis/dp/B005IM19L4/ref=sr_1_7?s=beauty&ie=UTF8&qid=1367442029&sr=1-7&keywords=it%27s+skin

     2. I'm obsessed with BB creams. It's okay I admit it, its a problem, but they are so good for you, which makes obsessing over them is somewhat fine. Etude House, which is one of my favorite Korean brands, created a new BB cream this spring apart of their Precious Mineral collection, which I have the all day Strong one, and now this one which is their Cotton Fit BB cream. It helps to brighten your skin and helps with anti- wrinkle as well. This BB cream glides onto your skin and gives it a healthy glow, which i love for spring. Here is the link for this spectacular BB cream:
http://www.amazon.com/Etude-House-Precious-Mineral-Cotton/dp/B00C20BOZQ/ref=sr_1_3?s=beauty&ie=UTF8&qid=1367442330&sr=1-3&keywords=etude+house+cotton+fit

     3. Setting powders are pretty much a need for me. Although i live in northern Ohio, I'm really close to the lake which makes it really humid and that makes me sweat, hence setting powder. Also I'm a complete and total Shawol and when I saw the Etude House Shini Star Collection, I immediately bought the BB cream, peach powder, and Junghyun's lipbalm. Anyway, I've been using the Shini Star Clear Pact for awhile, but I've been using a lot more now that it is warmer so it's been coming out more frequently. It gives the skin a really nice silky finish and the peach is great for daytime. It also gives the skin a nice glow (: Here is the link for my favorite pressed powder:
http://www.amazon.com/Etude-House-Shini-Star-Clear/dp/B008074JH0/ref=sr_1_1?s=beauty&ie=UTF8&qid=1367442626&sr=1-1&keywords=etude+house+shini+star+clear+pact

     4. If you have noticed, there is a trend developing here, Glowing Skin. I love highlighters and stuff that gives my skin a really nice glow and that is exactly what the Skinfood All Over Muffin Cake Finish in Vanilla Peach Muffin gives to your skin. It look really nice and natural so that you don't look fake and cakey ( no pun intended (: ).  It has a really smooth texture and applies really nicely to skin. Here is the link, and did I mention it smells soooooooo good? :
http://www.amazon.com/Skinfood-MUFFIN-FINISH-Vanilla-Muffin/dp/B008204SI0/ref=sr_1_1?s=beauty&ie=UTF8&qid=1367442852&sr=1-1&keywords=skinfood+all+over+muffin+cake+finish

     5. Blushes!!!!! I adore blush, and especially peach blushes for the spring. The Face Shop really did a good job with their Cushion Blusher in Peach Cushion. Its a matte peachy pink and gives the skin a gorgeous  flush  that goes great with a bright spring day. Here is the link for this warm breeze for your cheeks:
http://www.amazon.com/The-Face-Shop-Cushion-Blusher/dp/B00B20LMHC/ref=sr_1_3?s=beauty&ie=UTF8&qid=1367443122&sr=1-3&keywords=the+face+shop+blush

EYES:

     1. Kk so i didn't really where eye shadow this month because when it get hot, I'm not the biggest eye shadow fan. So the first thing is  the Skin food Sweet Almond Eyeliner!!! I love this product because me and liquid eyeliner are like bff's so this one is amazingly opaque and goes on really smoothly. It's more liquid-y than other eyeliners, so if that's not your jam, then C'est La Vie, lol. Anyway its amazing and you should totally try it out, here is the link:http://www.amazon.com/Skinfood-Sweet-Almond-Eye-liner/dp/B0099U75JQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1367626071&sr=8-1&keywords=skinfood+sweet+almond

     2. Alright-y Etude House is one of my favorite brands and they have a product called Tear Drop Eye Liner and basically what you do with it is you apply to your inner corners and it gives you a fresh doe eyed look. I love it because my eyes look so pretty and brighter with this product on so thumbs up Etude House! Here's the link-y Blink-y :http://www.amazon.com/Etude-House-Tear-Liner-White/dp/B005016BE8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1367627414&sr=8-1&keywords=etude+house+tear+drop+liner

     3. I love mascara's that make my lashes look fuller and that won't clump up and Nature Republic makes a really great one. It's their So Big Curling Mascara and we should all take a moment of silence for this awesome product......................
Basically its really great at giving your eyelashes so volume and shape so sometimes i don't even have to use my eyelash curler. Here is the link:http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007ZH2FU4/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i02?ie=UTF8&psc=1

LIPS:

     1. I've been diggin' the peach this spring for cheeks and lips (match-y match-y) and so all of my favorite lip products have a peach theme. My favorite lipstick right now is the NYX Matte Lipstick in Hippie Chic. Its like a light coral-y peach and it looks so great for spring! It's one of those great on all skin types color so it will look good on basically anyone. it does have a slight blue base but apart from that it's a gorgeous color. Here is the link:http://www.amazon.com/NYX-Matte-Lipstick-Hippie-Chic/dp/B005FYJBME/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1367628857&sr=8-1&keywords=nyx+matte+lipstick+hippie+chic

     2. I like pairing my lipstick and glosses together so that my look is slightly more professional (keke) so I really like pairing my lipstick favorite with the Stila Lip Glaze in Peaches & Cream because they go really well together. It's got a really smooth texture on your lips and isn't too sticky, but be warned, it can get messy like mine did :( here is the link:http://www.amazon.com/Stila-Lip-Glaze-Peach-Ounce/dp/B000666C8C/ref=sr_1_1?s=beauty&ie=UTF8&qid=1367629127&sr=1-1&keywords=stila+lip+glaze+peaches

     3. Last product I have for ya'll is the Maybelline Baby Lips Lipbalm in Peach Kiss. It's the perfect nude lip for everyday where because its not a harsh color and it's glossy so its not drying. plus it has SPF! :

So that's all my monthly favorite for April! I hope that you try some of these products out and I'll get back to you soon!

D.I.Y. Soothing Cleanser

     Heyo!
Spring is here and the sun is coming out and your skin is in need of some TLC. I created this cleanser to help soothe your skin and help it moisturized throughout the long day. Most of my skincare is all about soothing so I hope that this helps you. Here what you'll need.

Tools:
Blender
Empty Container (no pumps because the cleanser can get stuck in the pipes)

Ingredients:
Oatmeal
Chamomile Tea Leaves
Runny Honey
Sunflower Oil ( or Olive Oil)

Directions:
Pour about two or three cups of oatmeal into the blender. Pour in 1/2 a cup of honey in. Add two tea bags of any soothing type of tea, I like to use chamomile. Pour in 1/4 a cup of oil. Blend all ingredients with the blender and pour into an empty container.

Here's how its good for you:

Oatmeal- Oatmeal helps to reduce the dryness of your skin and restore your skins natural balance. It also absorbs and removes impurities from your skin by gently exfoliating. It helps to create smoother and softer looking and feeling skin. It also helps to soothe irritated skin.

Chamomile- It helps skin that has burns, rashes, boils and etc. It also helps people with Eczema as well. it helps to soothe and soften your skin also helping to reduce that horrid burning sensation. It also has antibacterial properties that help to purify the skin helping to lighten your complexion.

Honey- Moisturizes your skin so its perfect for dry skin, protects against damage so its great for helping with sun care as well. It has anti inflammatory agents that helps prevent infections and curing the ones that are already on your skin such as acne and blemishes.

Sunflower Oil- sunflower oil provides the skin with a protective coating to block out infection and inflammation, including already existing irritations. It helps to treat acne as well and helps the skin retain moisture.

There it is everyone! I love this cleanser because not only does it soothe but it helps fight off acne and UV/U VB  rays. I hope that it works as good for you as it does for me. Enjoy!

Spring Makeup Tutorial

Hey Spring Breaker's!
I went shopping today and I got this shirt that inspired me to do a spring tutorial for roses. Without further explanation  here it is!

EYES:

Step 1.
First things first, take a white eye pencil and apply all over your eyelid. This is going to be a great base for your eye makeup to stick on and gives this look a nice subtle glow. I used the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Cottage Cheese.

Step 2:

Next take a pink/peach cream color and apply this on your eye lid up to your crease. make sure though that you don't go any farther than to your crease other wise this won't look to good. Here I used the Nars Multi- Wear in Orgasm ( strange name, I know).

Step 3:
Taking a Chocolate brown eye shadow shade, apply this on the outer fourth of your eye and into your crease. This is going to help add depth to your eyes, and define them in a nice subtle way. I'm using the Almay Intense Satin- I Trio brown shade.

Step 4:

Take a creamy white color and apply this to your brow bone and blend in the crease color as well. This is going to bring your eyes out and blend the colors in better together. I used the Almay palette from the previous step and used the cream color this time.

 Step 5:
Apply a white eyeliner onto you lower lash line and waterline. this is going to open up the eyes and make you look more awake. I used the NYC Kohl Eye Pencil in White.

Step 6:
Take a liquid eyeliner and apply it in a very thin line on your upper lash line. I used the ELF Liquid Eyeliner in Black.

Step 7:
Curl your eyelashes, then apply a curling mascara to your upper and lower lash line. this will make your eyes bigger. If you apply with a juggling motion while combing through your lashes, it will give a more natural look. I used the Nature Republic So Big Curling Mascara.

CHEEKS:

Step 1:
Take a rosy pink blush and tap onto cheeks with a powder brush. I'm using the Clinique Blushing Blush in Iced Lotus.

Step 2:
Apply a Highlighter to the High Points of your face. I'm using the Nars Hungry Heart Duo and I used the ivory shade.

Lips:
Take a red tinted lip balm and apply to your lips. I'm using the Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Balm in Cherry Me.

Finished Look:

So I hope that you enjoyed this tutorial and that you try it out yourself. Have fun!

Kose Softymo Deep Cleansing Oil Review

Hey!
So I haven't blogged in a little, but school work has been really crazy and I'm trying to keep up with it all. I  got some time now so I'm going to do a review!
So the Kose deep cleansing oil is apart of my daily skincare routine and I'm impressed. This is the first cleansing oil I've ever tried but I'm excited about this brand. I can tell a difference in my skin. Its moisturized and has a healthy glow. For me i massage this into my skin for about 30 seconds at least to really let the product sink into my skin. After that I wet my hands and massage my face again, causing the clear orange colored liquid to turn into a creamy white color.

The Claims:

  • dissolve your makeup and cleanse your skin of impurities.
  • removing dead cuticles and giving your skin a fresh clean look
  • cleanse the pores my loosening your pores to release the impurities
  • Has orange oil and rice bran oil.
  • Helps to hydrate and keep skin moisturized
What's in it for me?

  • Orange oil is has many beneficial properties. It helps with Anti- Inflammatory properties which is ideal for those who have irritated or acne skin. It also encourages Detoxification which is great for cleansing your skin and helping it to clear up faster. It helps with Collagen and with blood flow in your skin.
Rice Bran oil helps with anti aging your skin and is packed with healthy antioxidants for your skin. It also whitens your skin helping to heal scars. For people with any acne they know that scars aren't fun so rice bran will help with that.
  • Mineral oil is a tricky topic but it does have some benefits. It helps with moisturizing your skin and also helps to remove your makeup. The only catch is that it can clog pores. I don't think its that big of a deal since the cleansing oil is the step before cleansing so i don't think you should be worried.
Rating:
I would give this product a 4.5 out of 5 because it really does work with what it says it will and really helps to clear your skin and cleanse your pores well. The only thing that could notch it down would be the Mineral oil, still i love this product. I definitely think its worth everything and i totally recommend it.
    Hope it helps!

Etude House Gradation Cocktail Nails: A Quick Review

Hey Lovelies!
Today I have a review on a nail polish kit that I've been loving lately and I cannot stop wearing this nail combination. Etude House is probably one of my favorite korean brands for more than one reason. Their packaging is so cute and girly, the product are a really good quality and its inexpensive. When I first saw the Juicy Cocktail Gradient nails on Amazon, I knew that that had to be added to my collection. I currently have the one called Princess Marry . It's a beautiful nail polish kit for spring, since it incoperates the gorgeous rose gold color.
This  collection has 6 sets apart of it. In my opinion these are so beautiful. Some people have commented on the fact that the base isn't a very pigemnted color. I don't mind this simply because it adds to the look.

No1. Screw Driver

No2. Kiss Of Fire

No3. Love Violet

No4. Mint Frappe

No5. Princess Marry

No6. Angel's Kiss

This concludes my Quickie Review. So All in all these nail polishes are really great and the color pay off is pretty impressive. Until next time,

GirI's Generation Yoona I Got A Boy Makeup Tutorial

Hey pretties!
So today I'm going to be doing a tutorial based on the makeup that  Im Yoona is wearing. I really liked hers because it was natural and fresh, also her voice is one of my favorites in Girls Generation. To make sure your not completely bored, lets get into the tutorial (:

FACE:

Step 1: To achieve Yoona's beautifully clear skin, apply a BB cream all over your face. The one I'm using is by L'Oreal, but you can use any kind you want. I like to apply it with a firm foundation brush and then blending it out with a flat top kabuki. If you want you can skip moisturizing if you want.

Step 2: To set it all, apply a light or translucent powder. I'm using the Maybelline Fit me! foundation in 110. I apply this with the same kabuki brush that I used with the BB cream. Try to avoid apply it to your cheeks and mainly focus this on your T-Zone. If you apply to much powder, it won't look natural and it can start to cake.

EYES:
Step 3:  Apply a shimmering eye primer all over your lid. I'm using the Urban Decay Primer Potion in Sin to guarantee beautiful shimmery primed eye lids that won't crease. Blend in with your ring finger gently.

Step 4: Taking a bronze eye shadow color, apply all over your lid going no farther up then your crease. I'm using the Maybelline Eye Studio duo in Bronze Blowout. Taking the same bronze shade and an angled brush apply to the outer half of your lower lash line.

Step 5:  Apply a white Eyeliner to you water line. This will help to open up your eyes more. Here I'm using the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Cottage Cheese (Ikr its a weird name for an eye pencil ). Once your done with that take a gold eye pencil and apply over top of the white. I'm using the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Pure Gold.

Step 6: Go over the bronze eye shadow with a dark brown. I'm using the Brown in the Maybelline eye shadow duo. This will make your eyes subtle- y pop

Step 7: Apply a Black liquid eyeliner to your top lash line  The line should be very small and thin. I'm using the Elf Liquid Eyeliner in Black.

Step 8: Apply two of your favorite mascara to your eye lashes to give that false eye lash look. Here I'm using the Maybelline Volume Express Mega Plush and Great Lash Lots of Lashes mascara to give my eye lashes length and volume.

CHEEKS:

Step 9: Apply a natural colored to the apples of your cheeks. I'm using the NYX Blush in Pinched.

Step 10: Next step is to apply a highlighter to the high points of your face. I'm using the Philosophy Color of Grace Shimmering Face Powder.

LIPS:
Step 11: Apply a concealer to your lips. The strange thing about this concealer palette is that I have no clue what its name is. Its like an exact dupe of the Shany Cosmetics one so just use any concealer you have on you.

Step 12: Apply a coral pink lip butter on top of the concealer with your finger tips using a patting motion. It will help the moisture to sink in and also give the perfect color for this look. I'm using the Korres Lip Butter Glaze in Pomegranate.

Step 13: Next apply a bright pink over top. Here I'm using the NYX Lip Smacking Fun Colors lipstick in Margarita. It gives off a really nice pink pop.

Step 14: Take a pink tinted lip balm over top to blend everything in. Here I'm using the Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Balm in Pink Punch.

Your done! you should look like Im Yoona now (: Here is the end result:

Hope you all enjoyed this tutorial! If you haven't heard "I Got A Boy"  yet, go look it up (: Have an AMAZINGLY SPARKLY day!
Gracie
