My Favorite Eyeshadow Palettes

Hello Pretty People!
So today I wanted to share a few of my favorite neutral eye shadow palettes, and when I say few, I really mean few....like 4... I've very picky when it comes to eye shadows and I expect a lot, even from drugstore palettes. I like lots of pigmentation in a buttery smooth powder that glides seamlessly onto my lids with all the magic that comes with a finely milled eye shadow. Too much expectation you say? Nope. Let's jump into this shall we?

1. L'Oreal La Palette Nude 1

This palette is amazing for warmer skin tones and those who are addicted to golden and bronze shades a like. It has a good selection of matte and shimmer shades, but none of the shimmer is chunky, and all of them feel very finely milled and have great pigmentation.

2. The Balm Nude Tude Palette

This palette was all the hype a couple years ago, and for good measure too. It is such a beautiful and smoothly pigmented eye shadow palette. I love the color selection as well, because you can get some really dramatic looks out of it, as well as super simple and pretty daytime eyes. The color range is a bit cooler toned then the L'Oreal palette above, as everything with shimmer is silver toned.

3. Sleek Au Naturel I-Divine Palette

Sleek is an amazing brand based in the UK and they KNOW their eye shadows. The I-Divine palettes are around $10 a pop, with quality as good if not identical to M.A.C eye shadows. Everything is finely milled and has a great pigmentation while providing a wide variety of shades. The ones I love for neutral looks is the Au Naturel palette which has earthy toned neutral shades.

4. Pony X Memebox Shine Easy Glam Palette

Lastly is the Pony X Memebox eye shadow palette which is amazing for beginners and old pro's alike. It comes with 4 matte shades and 4 shimmers which can be paired accordingly for either a daytime look, or a sultry night out on the town. I think this palette is more on the neutral side of things, with colors not bordering either warm or cool toned.

That's it for this post! I hope you enjoyed it and be sure to leave me any comments below and I'll get back to you as soon as possible. Until next time, love y'all,

Best Korean Cosmetics Part 2: Eyes

Hello Pretty People!

Today I have the second part to my Best Korean Cosmetics series and I'm giving all the focus to the eyes. Koreans are known for there face and skincare products, but there are some great eye products as well. From primers to liners and mascaras, there are quite a few amazing products to choose from, so I wanted to share a few of my favorites. Let's jump into this shall we?

Primer:

There is really only one primer that I felt deserved a mention in this post, and it's the Etude House Proof 10 Eye Primer. It is so comparable to the Urban Decay Primer Potion as it has that silky silicon feel to it, and it has a similar lasting power. It improves the wear time and the integrity of shadows, also being waterproof which is ideal for oily eyelids, like mine.

Brows:

For eyebrows, I'm a big fan of powders. They provide a natural look to the brows while still defining and filling. Korean cosmetics have so many brow products to choose from, and for my personal preference, I'm choosing the Etude House Perfect Brow Kit. This palette has had so much use since I originally purchased it.

It has two different brow shades and a highlight color. I think it had two little brushes originally, but since I suck at loosing little brushes, I lost those ones. It has really good pigmentation and the colors are universally great, even if your a blonde. I've done so many different hair colors in the past couple of years, and they worked great with each.

Shadow:

I'm so picky when it comes to eye shadows. I can't stand chalky formulas or ones that are primarily glitter and lack pigmentation. Eye shadows have to be buttery smooth and have crazy good pigmentation, which leads me to the palettes chosen today.

First are the Innisfree Eco Mineral Eye Shadows. These have a similar pigmentation to M.A.C eye shadow in the way that they apply super smoothly and they are true to their colors. I have the shades 26 and 13. 26 is a close dupe to Soba by M.A.C which is a warm brown shade with gold micro shimmers finely milled in. 13 is a beautiful multi chrome purple and gold shade that on the lids transforms into a natural looking base color with a slight purple hue.

Pony is one of my favorite makeup artists and she teamed up with Memebox to do some makeup products. One of those is the Pony X Memebox palette. The first one is my favorite as it gives four natural matte shades and four shimmery shades. Unlike the smaller pony palettes, these ones have amazing pigmentation and don't look chunky glittery on the lids. They apply very smoothly and blend super nicely.

Mascara and Eye Liner:

Just how I'm picky with my shadows, I am also picky when it comes to mascara and eyeliners ( but particularly mascara). I hate mascaras that make all of my lashes clump together and don't give them any volume. I need one that gives length, definition, and volume without giving me spider lashes. Also, I'm a fan of waterproof mascaras but ones that don't make my lashes feel extremely brittle after a few hours of wear.

First is my waterproof pick, which is the Etude House Lash Perm All Shockcara. This mascara really grabs the lashes and gives them length and volume without getting clumpy. It gets each and every lashes and coats it in a semi thick formula that doesn't budge or flake throughout the day.

For a great everyday mascara that looks super good on the lashes since it has natural brush like bristles instead of plastic ones and fibers to really lengthen the look of the lashes, I have the Innisfree Eco Curling Mascara. This sucker is amazing and is one of my ultimate favorites since it grabs the lashes and really lifts them and makes them look full and defined with a ton of length.

Lastly is my favorite liquid eye liner. The Skinfood Sweet Almond Eye Liner is a super thin and easy to apply eyeliner. The thin brush makes it super manageable to use and it great for liquid liner challenged like myself to apply a nice and thin line without getting black liquid everywhere.

Those are my picks for part two of this series! What are your favorite Korean eye makeup products? Tell me in the comments below as well as any questions, comments, request, or recommendations and I'll get back to you ASAP. Until next time, love y'all!
